The best decision I've ever made Past Review
By A student (SUNY - College at Geneseo) - abroad from 01/09/2012 to 05/04/2012 with
Academia Latinoamericana de Espanol: Cusco - Academia Latinoamericana Center
I learned a lot about Latin American culture, gained a new reference-point on different social and political issues, met people from all over the world, and got to better my Spanish-language skills. If I could do it all over again, I would do so in a heartbeat.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? | Talk to as many people as possible, don't be afraid to converse with your host family. Be careful when practicing the language with friends (be aware of their incorrect words/grammar - not necessarily calling them out on it. It's as easy to pick up bad habits as it is to pick up good habits). If you're not sure about words - ask! If you learn a knew word, try to use it. |
