This was the absolute best trip of my life. While I did miss being close to my family, I was heartbroken to be leaving as soon as I had to.

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? | 0-2 weeks |
Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Classes were made to fit your level, and multiple level students could easily all work in the same classroom. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
Definitely try all of the new foods at least once, there are some very interesting things I had never even heard of before that I loved! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Spent two full afternoons exploring the countryside without a guide or any sort of plan, and ended up talking to local Peruvians for hours who gave me more information about their homes than any website or tour guide ever could! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
There are dangerous parts of any large city, no exception here. However, the school made clear where was safe to travel, and where was not, and arranged guided trips into the unsafe parts so that you would not miss out on anything there. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Even if you don't speak the language at all, enough locals know English or other foreign languages to guide you through. If you are fluent (or fluent enough to communicate) take the time to talk to people! Cab drivers, shopkeepers, and even people sitting in the plaza are very friendly, and many will be more than willing to tell you something about Peru! |
