About

Earn academic credit via courses at APA and within the Parisian university system, personalized mentorship, and receive professional hands-on experience and global understanding with APA Level Up. This French language-based, project-centered program in the economic hub of Paris, France gives students the opportunity to gain valuable resume-building experiences without the added expense of an international internship program. An English-language track may be offered based upon demand.

After arrival and during orientation, students register for three classes: Design Thinking for Global Challenges, an elective at one of our Paris partner universities, and an elective at APA:
  • Corporate Social Responsibility: Practices and Debates in France
  • Gender, Race and Diversity in France
  • Digital Economy
  • The Future of Museums in France
The final course is a Capstone Project: small teams of students will be assigned to one of APA's business or NGO partners. This professional partner will introduce to you and your team of like-minded individuals a present issue affecting the organization that requires a solution. Following the principles of Design Thinking methodology, each week your team will work to hit a milestone related to the process and end goal. At the end of the semester, your team will present the solution to your scenario to a panel including representatives from the partner organization.

Individualized mentoring and one-on-one French language support round out one's academic schedule.

Spend time with your cohort and experience the richness of French culture by participating in a variety of events and activities like a cheese tasting and weekend visit to the iconic castles of the Loire Valley. Accommodations are available with a host family or in a student residence or, you may secure housing independently.
