Fantastic Experience in Barcelona Past Review

My internship in Barcelona was an exciting experience to say the least. The city itself has a tremendous amount to offer and a huge number of international students so I was not often bored in my free time. My university had a study abroad program there too, so I was able to explore and hang out with some of my friends for four out of the six months I was here, which made this experience all the more fun. In the internship, although day to day I did not feel as though I contributed much to the organization I did have a handful of enriching opportunities, such as attending campaign rallies with over 17,000 people in attendance, interviewing a Spanish supreme court judge, and meeting a Taiwanese delegation. The housing was a little tumultuous in that my understanding of what it would be like was drastically different from how it ended up being, which eventually ended in me having to move. However, once I was in a more stable location everything was pretty smooth sailing. Adelante and my organization both had a good support system so I never felt alone even in slightly stressful situations. Overall I think the experience was great and the adversity led to helping my grow as an individual.
