What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about agriculture, politics, and how other people live. It was very eye-opening and definitely worthwhile!

The staff were always there when you needed them, but did not get involved in your life, which I greatly appreciated.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I loved my house! The people were wonderful and I had my own freedom.

* Food:

OAXACA FOOD IS THE BEST!!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The people are wonderful!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

They were helpful and helped with some insurance issues.

* Safety:

I felt very safe the whole time and never had any problems.

Things in Oaxaca are very reasonably priced.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Save enough money before you go so you can enjoy yourself there; it's really worth it!

I spoke in Spanish almost all the time.

How many hours per day did you use the language? 10+
Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Talk in Spanish all the time, even if you don't know how to say what you want to say, just keep talking and you will get better.
