What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I loved my study abroad experience. I feel more confident and that I have gained a great deal of self-awareness. I am also happy that I made foreign friends that I am still keeping in touch with. I learned so much about a new culture that I never could've learned at home. I also enjoyed being around other very motivated Americans because they gave me good insight into how I should be planning my own future.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload seemed less intense but the feedback was not as good. It was harder to improve than it would be at an American college because you don't really know how due to lack of feedback. You're more on your own.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

This program felt like a little family. They knew all of our names and made us feel welcome. All of my expectations were met. They are very familiar with Americans and knew how to give us a great experience.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived with 7 other American students in a house. I loved it. The neighborhood was wonderful and very close to my classes.

* Food:

I loved that we had to cook for ourselves. It was a good way to bond with the housemates.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The trips were great. I loved seeing Stonehenge and living at Oxford for a week.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I always felt safe in Bath.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cooking with other students helped save on food costs. Book hostels months in advance to get the ones with the best deals.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
