I gained insights into international education systems as a student and a teacher, how to live independently and navigate a changing world, and the importance of meaningful connections in times of change. It was fundamental to my college experience thus far, and I would not trade the experience for anything!

My house was a joy to live in and absolutely beautiful, yet it did lack modern appliances and comforts that I missed at times |

We did our own cooking, so the program provided a sufficient stipend to cover our grocery costs |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I felt fairly integrated with the local culture from my experience in a school placement, but our classes and program kept us generally pretty separate from locals |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I have a long history of health issues and consistently felt supported and that resources were accessible to me if needed |

I almost always felt safe in my city but would not recommend walking alone in the dark as the streets are not well lit |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
Advanced Studies in England curated a community amongst their program that not many other programs could; Bath was the perfect size for me to feel at home in a new city within the semester, and by the end, I felt like a true local. |

Bath is an expensive city for a student, but with help from the program I was able to afford food and experiences that I would not have been able to otherwise |
