Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The overall experience was amazing. The cultural exposure was excellent when coupled with the great hands-on education. However, scheduling was a problem academically.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were helpful and always ready to answer questions. They seemed to always be available

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

It was a fairly large room with a separate toilet and shower, desk, and bed. It was also a single room.

* Food:

They gave us a meal card, so no meals were specifically provided by the university. But the food in London was very good!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I always felt like I was exposed to the culture. However, since I was always around Americans, I didn't get the social interactions with British people as I would have hoped.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Insurance was covered by the program. I had no worries while over seas.

* Safety:

I always felt safe and secure. In case of emergency, I always knew who to contact and where.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I tried to be as thrifty as possible, but London is a very expensive city.

* Was housing included in your program cost? Yes
* Was food included in your program cost? No
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 150 pounds
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Go to market areas for souvenirs! You'll find that gifts are much cheaper there than in stores. Also, buy groceries instead going out to eat; you'll get more food for the dollar (or pound).
