What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes! I learned so much about history and myself as a person.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There is work that needs to be done, but the professors are great about not overloading you with any work so that you can go out and enjoy the country you are studying in. My history class was awesome because I barely had to study the night before exams. This was because my teacher did such a good job of informing me during the class that I just had to review and refresh my memory before tests. She took us out into the history of Rome that was all around us. We got to visually see so much! It was amazing.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I wish Wifi was more readily available to students.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

There was no WiFi which was an extreme inconvenience.

* Food:

There was a lot of pizza and pasta let me tell you! It was all delicious obviously! (I mean come on it is Italy) However, I wish meat like beef and chicken was more readily available/cheaper like back home. Everything was delicious.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Everything is a memory when studying abroad. You get to see so much and learn so much about yourself just always being open to new things is important. Jump into the culture around you and run with it! You will not regret it.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I was afraid at night, but as long as you stay with groups you are fine! There are police out at all hours of the night who want to help/protect you.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
