A South African Experience Past Review

By (Lake Forest College) - abroad from 01/14/2017 to 06/03/2017 with

AIFS: Stellenbosch - Study Abroad or Service Learning at Stellenbosch University

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gain a sense of independence being abroad. Before having the chance to go abroad I was not independent, I relied a lot on others. Being abroad essentially forced me to start handling things on my own without others input.

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
