About

Spend January studying abroad in the Italian Alps! Earn three credits over three weeks in Brixen, Italy, in the heart of the Dolomites mountain range in the northern Italian Alps.

Students explore the links between Italian cuisine and geography, history and cultural influence in the course: Italian Food and Culture. Topics of discussion highlight regional gastronomic traditions and their origins and delve into issues of regional differences, representation in media and cinema, food symbolism in Italian culture, food ethics, fast and slow food traditions and sustainable agriculture.

You'll stay in double room accommodations in a residence in the historical center of Brixen. Program fees include a 3-day pass to explore local ski areas. A meal plan is included and students have access to the local swimming pool.
