I learned how to survive on my own in a foreign country and trusting my language abilities to get me through any situation. I learned that people are readily available to help you and understand that you are a foreign student. There were many differences between the United States and Spain and I learned how to accept both cultures and learned what is acceptable to do in each country and discovered just how badly Americans stick out. Overall, this experience has made me want to continue studying abroad and try another country.

The workload was not anything compared to American schools. Homework was expected to be done, but it was not manditory because the profesors are used to Spanish students wanting to work. All lessons were in Spanish and songs are used a lot to explain a topic, like the subjunctive for example. Tests are what count for grades, nothing else. |
