What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

AIFS in Salamanca, Spain was absolutely wonderful. It opened my eyes to another culture and another side of the world. I have more of an understanding for foreigners who come to the USA now.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.	The workload was not difficult at all. Professors and resources were extremely helpful.
* Host Country Program Administration On-site administration of your program	I cannot speak highly enough of the AIFS staff.
* Housing: How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?
* Food:	Food was AWESOME!
* Social & Cultural Integration: How integrated did you feel with the local culture?	We had several excursions to surrounding cities in Spain.
* Health Care: How well were health issues addressed during the program?
* Safety:	I felt very safe and at ease in Salamanca. You have to be careful in the bigger cities, though, like Madrid and Barcelona.
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program?	Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget? (1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

* Did your program have a foreign language component?	Yes
Language acquisition improvement?	Everyone. My host family, my friends, fellow students, waitors, etc. A few people knew some english, but
