I learned the Chinese culture and language, to live in Shanghai, to learn how to enjoy the little things, and to have fun.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Super nice rooms. You live with an international and Chinese roommate in a nice apartment. It is the perfect mix, you get exposure and contact with local Chinese students and also get to live with your American / international friends!

* Food:

CHINESE FOOD IS THE BEST. Cheap & so good!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The housing arrangements give you the chance to really integrate, but the program doesn't force you to do anything you don't want to. It's ideal

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I always felt safe in Shanghai, even at night walking alone.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

It couldn't have been a better experience. I had so much fun, learned a lot, really got in touch with the local culture, made local friends. Every day was an adventure and a new experience!
