I learned a lot about myself as a person and about many other cultures. It was most definitely worthwhile. - Truman State University View Entire Review
Greece was amazing! My only complaint would be that some of the coursework was not directly relevant to Greece, its culture, and/or its people. I feel the program would benefit from the inclusion of more outings based in Thessaloniki that would supplement and enhance lecture material. - Georgia Southern University View Entire Review
I gained an intercultural expereince of a lifetime. - Northeastern University View Entire Review
Traveling Europe was amazing. Greece was pretty great. But the program was an absolute waste of my time and money - Goucher College View Entire Review

About

Students looking to study in an immersive environment with a small international campus in the historical and accessible area of northern Greece will find an incredible experience at the American College of Thessaloniki. You will enjoy the vibrant student centered city and cultural capital of Greece as you explore the the Roman and Byzantine ruins, stroll along the 6 mile boardwalk, or simply spend the afternoon chatting outside of a cafe with a view. Explore outside of the city with an array of field trips including a trip to Athens and Delphi, a day trip to Vergina, and optional trips like diving, canyoning, or climbing Mount Olympus. Students can take classes in Business, Technology, Hellenic Studies, and humanities with small class sizes making ACT the ideal place for any major to complete your academic semester abroad.

Greek Cultural Immersion
With a student body comprised of 50% Greeks and international students from approximately 30 countries as well as a plethora of community outreach opportunities, visiting students find a valuable cultural immersion experience at ACT.

U.S. Accredited
ACT is the only NECHE-accredited academic institution in Northern Greece.  ACT is a warm, welcoming and active community that offers students the chance to explore and develop through a wide range of workshops, clubs, field trips, and volunteer opportunities.

Cultural & Historical Exploration
Students visit the birthplace of Alexander the Great, Orthodox Monasteries dating from 12th Century, the beautiful beaches of Halkidiki, and of course the enchanting city of Thessaloniki!

Strong Support Services
The International Programs Office staff is dedicated to assisting students with all needs. The staff in the ACT Boston office is also there to answer questions and provide students with the support they need. Once students arrive in Greece, staff orients them with the campus and life in Thessaloniki, and provides information on co-curricular opportunities and ways to engage Greece outside of the classroom.
