Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Studying in Beirut was an amazing experience. AUB was very accommodating to any needs I had. It is a tough school and a hard program however, very worth it. One should definitely use the opportunity while studying there to explore all of Lebanon, it is a very beautiful country. AUB has a great campus right in Hamra which is a fun location for students. Students should definitely get involved with activities there for a great chance to meet people. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Administration was great and very helpful. |
* Housing:

Housing at the AUB dorms was a great chance to meet people. There were stricter rules than I was use to at UMass which made life a little tough there, however it is about what one should expect from local customs. |
* Food: |
Lebanese food is always very good, it also helped to have American fast food restaurants across the street if I ever felt homesick |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Best way to meet people is through sports or other school sponsored activities. People are very friendly at AUB and are very social. Hanging out at the dorms' lounge was also a great chance to meet new people. |

The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |
