Recognized as Canada's premier bilingual university, the University of Ottawa is located in the heart of the nation's capital, at the crossroads of French and English Canada, and has carved a place of distinction for itself among Canada's leading universities. Its campus provides a vibrant setting for the exchange of ideas and promotes the cross-pollination of knowledge and cultures.

The Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa is the largest law school in Canada and is divided into a Civil Law and a Common Law section, which provides students with a unique opportunity to study both legal systems. Additionally, the law school conducts unique research on disability law and indigenous rights law.

Exchange students can choose to take courses in a wide range of areas including civil rights law, environmental law, intellectual property law and administrative and regulatory law.

The program is offered in both the spring and fall semesters. The Canadian academic calendar roughly follows the U.S. academic calendar.

Spring: January – April

Courses are offered in both French and English.
