Overall I didnt feel extremely integrated with the local culture, however for the amount of time speng in the country it was absolutely the best I could have hoped for, we were integrated in our serve portion during our internships and got a solid amount of exposure to the local cultrue and students our age through the program. |

Cairo is a big city and as a female student sometimes I felt uncomfortable but felt that AMIDEAST did a good job perparing us for this situation and did an excellent job setting themselves apart as an open institution that we could bring problems to if they arrose. |
