I definitely recommend the year long program, although I didn't have time with my credits.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I caught a respiratory infection while I was there and had no issues navigating the system. I had to go to a private clinic and get prescription medications, but my host family helped me with all of it.

* Safety:

As long as you are aware and are careful there shouldn't be too many problems. There have been various students robbed though.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

While it was very challenging at times, the knowledge and skills and personal revelations I had during the experience made it mostly worth it.

Finances

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Not much, just food that I wanted to buy, my host family always had food, snacks, or meals that I could take to class if I needed.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants?
