Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Jewish Experience in Central Europe

Course Department: HIS 236
Instructor: Linda Stucbartova
Instruction Language: English/ Czech
Comments: I absolutely loved this class. My instructor is not only impressive in that she is academically well achieved, but is able to convey the objectives of the course in a way that is easily understood. I learned so much in the few short weeks I had with this instructor and the subject than i have during a regular semester.
Credit Transfer Issues: Have the courses approved by your home institution before enrolling in them overseas, this will make then transfer back much easier.
Course Name/Rating:

Culture, Identity, and Film

Course Department: SOC 273
Instructor: David Piemer
Instruction Language: English
Comments: This was a very fun course, and I took away from it the ability to identify the not so obvious artistic direction of the director. This teacher taught that films aren't just what you see on a screen, but that the characters themselves are intentionally multi-dimensional
Credit Transfer Issues: Course was pre-approved
