Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

For the most part I loved my clases. There was one teacher that I had for 2 of my four classes that was pretty boring and did not use very effective teaching methods. But my other two teachers were great. I wish i could have been with Spanish locals too.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Lola was kind and helpful

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in an apartment building with a Spanish lady. I had my own room, but another girl from my program lived in the same apartment with me. My senora was fabulous and a great cook. I lived in Nervion on Rico Cejudo.

It was really far from the center of town, but by the end of my trip I liked that I was able to see this side of Sevilla. The only problem was that I had to pay a lot of extra money for cabs and metro usage.

* Food:

Victoria is a great cook.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Had a great time.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Sevilla feels so safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I thought API included a lot of activities so I felt like all of our money was spent adequately.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Beginner
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? Advanced writing and composition
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

I wish I would have met more Spanish students/locals earlier on in the program. Maybe had classes with them too?

A Look Back
