What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a perspective of the world that I hadn't seen before I went. I was introduced to the culture and history of a country I had no knowledge of beforehand, and that gave me an appreciation for their culture and country.

This program showed me many different parts of New Zealand and its culture, all while seeing the sights and having a lot of fun. I was able to make friends from both the program AND the university itself.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? ~$200USD
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Be open to buying non-name brand groceries, as they will be cheaper and will taste exactly the exact same (or at least close enough). Also, if you are interested in going to bars or nightclubs while you're there, limit the amount you spend at those places as they can be pricey.
