A Mind-Opening, Comfort-Zone Breaking Adventure Past Review
By Jennifer Jussel (Trinity University) - abroad from 09/05/2017 to 12/23/2017 with
Arcadia: Dublin - University College Dublin
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained an appreciation for a world and a culture much bigger than myself. Compared to Europe, America is basically a new country, and Europe was just so full of history, cultures, and traditions to learn and partake in. I also found a strength and an ability in myself that I wasn't sure I had- I jumped headfirst into situations that would normally make me nervous and found that I actually can successfully navigate the new and the foreign independently. I think it was absolutely worthwhile, and it really made the broadness of the world and its opportunities apparent to me.

The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |
