Arcadia: Full Stack Coding Program

A twelve-week coding bootcamp model delivered online for 16 credits, this immersive program provides the opportunity to learn key concepts and approaches to web development - then immediately apply them in real-world situations. A program of this type has extremely high value in today's marketplace. The acquisition of practical skills for a field highly in demand prepares you for an engaging and profitable career. You'll learn both front-end and back-end development, and showcase your skillset through the creation of four major projects. This program is for students with both little coding proficiency and some familiarity - the time spent acquiring hands-on, technical skills will set you apart in your job search and enhance your resume. The program consists of four courses: CSFE 185 Introduction to Front End Development CSIS 186 Introduction to Servers CSFS 187 Full-Stack Web Development CSCE 188 Cutting Edge Web Development Upon program's completion you'll be able to: Build front-end websites from scratch, as well as with ready-made frameworks Build server-side APIs using SQL databases and HTTP routing Create full-stack web applications connecting front-end to back-end with RESTful API routes and AJAX methods Build fast and efficient single-page applications with React.js Integrate the accepted and standard basics of social coding –- including source control, issue tracking, and functional feedback — as part of a development community, while building an application WHY ARCADIA?
