Arcadia: London - Arcadia in London Summer
Yes. I decided to go to decide if I could truly live abroad after graduation. After being in London for 2 months, I plan to go back as soon as possible.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload was unnecessary considering the small size of the classes. For classes with only 2 - 4 students, it seems redundant to require a term paper, short assignments, an oral presentation and a final examination to ascertain understanding when extensive class participation is already required on a daily basis. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The offices are located far from some of the program housing sites and short deadlines to submit documents/assignments made for a challenge trying to print and deliver the documents on time. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Had to purchase bedding, but basic cookware was provided. |
* Food: |
No food provided. Cooperative Food grocery store and Sainsbury market nearby. Wetherspoon's pub has 5 pound beer and burger deal! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Day trip out to Brighton was great! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I underestimated the costs of transport and food, which were not included in the program fees. |
Language
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
