You encouraged your friends join you, and often considered how you could reflect your international experiences in a resume.

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

A European Human Rights Crisis

Course Department: History
Instructor: Stefania Giladroni
Instruction Language: English
Comments: We went on a trip to Southern Italy to see the immigrants as they arrived in Italy as well as visit the migrant centers. I learned a lot about the history of immigration in Italy and how it is a big part of their culture. Seeing the issues as well as the people of Italy and how they deal with it really stuck with me, especially when I put it in perspective with the United States. Our professor did a great job providing us with all the information to be prepared for the written tests on the information we were learning and always made sure everyone was contributing to class discussions.

Comments: The learning style was something I really enjoyed. We would use the information we learned in class and then watch a movie about it following every lecture. All of the movies were 100% applicable and it was a great way for the other students and I to be greater interested in learning the information. We also went on 10 day trip to Southern Italy to the heavy mafia influenced areas and heard stories and met people I'll never forget, some people live a life one could never imagine. I was proud to give a final presentation over this once in a lifetime experience.
