Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Certain classes were very challenging but the diversity among the students in each class was great.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Everyone had their own room and bathroom which was great, but the houses were not cleaned before we arrived.

* Food:

The food is not much different than in America. Houses had kitchens so you were able to cook your own food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I wish there were more Australians in the village where we were housed - majority of the houses were filled with exchange students.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Australia is extremely expensive.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $200
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? If your housing includes a kitchen, use it instead of eating out and try to avoid taking taxis.
