By David S (Computer Science, Brandeis University) - abroad from 02/16/2023 to 06/25/2023 with
Arcadia: Wellington - Victoria University of Wellington
I learned how to cook for myself, explore new places, organize events with friends, how to immerse myself in a new culture, how to balance my life, and understand what is important to me.

|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
This program was the perfect fit for me. Wellington was an incredible city to live in, the program director was so helpful, I made wonderful friends, and grew so much as a person. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $200 (?) varied each week |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I'd recommend thinking about what you care about. If you care about eating fancy food, do that but maybe cut back on something else. I cared more about experiences than food so that is where I focused my superfluous spending. |
