What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a sense of humility and pride for the work we did. It was extremely worthwhile to work in the conditions of the clinic and help such a well thought out set of programs.

This school was also a place of sustainable social work that I'd truly making a difference in the lives of many individuals. I would recommend the education and medical work to anyone looking to study in Central America.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Getting sick will happen in some capacity- it's best not to let it get you down. The language skills will come even if it seems like they won't- keep using them. Get your application in as early as possible.
