What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile, I met so many wonderful people and learned so much about myself. It was life-changing and I can take everything I learned during this time to my time in my life in America.

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent about 200-300 kuai a week for food and personal expenses. Food and other things are extremely affordable and shopping can be cheap or expensive depending on where you are and what you buy but usually you can live off comfortably around this area.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Bargain, don't be fooled! Bargain, Bargain, Bargain!

Language acquisition improvement?

I practice Chinese everyday because it was necessary to use the language for all types of interactions. It was impossible not to use Chinese.
