Bentley University: London - Summer Academic Internship Programs

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned that the world is very different from our American bubble. All other cultures are not inferior, as is the vibe I got before studying abroad.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I had several problems with the EUSA team, and most of the people on the trip did not like them. The program is set up poorly as it does not give time for traveling and some of the classes seemed like they were just trying to fill time.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The housing was small, but was in a great location and was incredibly safe.

* Food:

It was kind of tough sharing one common room kitchen with 15 people. No one had meal plans so everyone always cooked. There was little space for storing food and the ovens/stoves were frequently all used.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt like I was pretty integrated with the culture further into the trip.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? probably about $250/ week on expenses, not including spending money.
