Internships in London

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This experience helped me step out of my confront zone. I had the ability to meet new people from all over the world and better learn how the work and live. This was an experience I would suggest everyone to embark upon. EiABroad did a great job of mixing both work and play together. The team they have assembled really understands what it takes to "make it" in the world, and they passed that information to me and the other interns I was living with.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

This was a great experience for me as I was put to work right away. My work was not just filing papers but rather work that allowed me to better understand how an office works

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The size was perfect. EiAbroad did a good job at keeping the experience at a size which allowed everyone to feel personally connected.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was in apartment housing. EiAbroad's reasoning for this was, "If you are working like a professional; then you should be treated like one". I truly felt bad for some of my friends who were in dorms, like freshman.

* Food:

food was not provided

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

This was my first time in Europe and they brought me to Bath. It was a trip I would have never gone on my myself but it was amazing. The excursions really helped me get out of London and explore other parts of the UK and Europe.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

There was never a point in time when I felt unsafe. The apartments are all in a nice part of town.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
