Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The overall experience was good, but there were number of things that negatively affected my experience. The educational offer is of high quality as such, teachers are good, lecture halls are big and well equipped and the general academic environment is motivating. However, the Bocconi's campus facilities are considerably inadequate. The campus is quite old, and the only renovated building is the one dedicated for teachers only. Facilities dedicated to studying are very scarce, as the one that are present are overfilled with students. There are few actual facilities where you can study in piece and quite, as rules of keeping quite seems to be of little importance.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I only had to personally encounter this service once and it didn't take much time. However, many of my colleagues have experienced slow bureaucracy with their services.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Bumped into a really nice apartment few weeks before departure date.

* Food:

The food in the Bocconi canteens are generally quite low quality, and quite a disappointment compared the expectation of an Italian university. The panini's and basic pastry were adequate - and the coffee was of course awesome - but the "dish of the day" meals were more than often very untasteful. My biggest critique is also the efficiency of paying for meals. In their main canteen, they offer only 3 working registers - which is almost just funny, considering that probably every noon a minimum of 1000 students use this canteen.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

You don't really get to know the Italian students much, but in general I find Italians friendly in other occasions.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Health care was ok. The only thing I have to criticize is that Bocconi requires a medical certificate that costs €50 for a membership at the gym - I find that extremely weird, and seeming more like a try to sneak out money from your pocket.

* Safety:

Felt quite safe the whole time.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Yes I would since I like Italy and Milan a lot.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Had a job while on exchange
