I loved studying abroad and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about doing it. It was definitely the best thing I have done in my life. Picking up by myself and moving to another country for 6 months and starting a new life was amazing. Traveling and seeing the world changed my life. I feel stronger and more independent and wish I could go back.

|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The location was nice and close to campus. The dorms were okay but expensive. Your actual bedroom is the size of a train cabin, tiny!The kitchen only contains a refrigerator, sink, counter space, and cabinets. Microwaves are not allowed. The worst part was that the administration was very strict with visitors and alcohol. |
* Food: |
Turkish food is excellent! You will end up loving yogurt and want to eat it with everything. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
|

|
* Safety: |
|

Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | I'm not sure how much money I spent a week but overall I spent $6500 for food, traveling, and other personal expenses. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Just overestimate how much you are going to spend because its definitely going to be more than you think. |
