Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload was much more. Grading system was different (HD, D, C, P, F). A lot more independent learning so you have to hold yourself accountable to your work more and be more responsible.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They helped you out when you needed help, but also let you be real independent in your decisions and let you make most if not all of the choices.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We lived in Varsity shores which was a condo complex about a 5 minute walk to campus. Would def recommend this to anyone going to Bond. The diversity in the shores is tremendous (Norway, Germany, Canada, France, Tawainn, China, Middle East) just to name a few places where people that live there come from (besides the US & Canada). Get to meet many more people living in the Shores, and they have a 2 pools, weight room, and sauna.

* Food:

Food is pricey there but still have pretty good little restraunts near campus and in the city.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Get to visit so many places in and around Australia.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Felt very safe anywhere in Australia, even in the bigger cities. Everyone is friendly and is willing to get to know you.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Direct Enrollment/Exchange

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The independence it gave you, but was also very helpful if you had any questions or needed anything done.
  • At first I thought the orientation week would be terrible with all the required activities and such, but looking back on it, it was one of the best, if not, the best week I experienced during my time abroad.
* What could be improved?
  • Nothing
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Do it and be thankful everyday that you're there. It will be the fastest 4 months of your life, but will also be the best 4 months of your life.
