Bond University: Gold Coast - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned all about the Australian culture. I also learned how to be independent and gained confidence in being able to move across the world and finding a support network. I feel as though now I will be less timid about making new friends and connections whenever entering into a new social experience.

  • The trips and sight seeing
* What could be improved?
  • Less Americans being accepted to the program
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I had done more research on Australia. This was my biggest msitake. I knew the country was expensive, but I did not realize how expensive it was. I also which I knew how many Americans were accepted into this program. Most of them came as friends and I did not know anyone when I arrived. However, I felt as though it was hard to get away and meet people from other nationalities.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
