What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to live with a large group of girls and not go insane. I also learned to not have specific expectations when going to a foreign country because those expectations can be totally superficial. And overall, yes, I think it was worth it.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? To make plans to travel BEFORE meeting friends, because the financial situation and the travel goals of each individual is different. I wish I had had the opportunity to travel by myself to places I wanted to go specifically, instead of accommodating to other people's wants and needs.

The Academic or Linguist
You went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you!
