It was worthwhile because we got to live abroad, not just study abroad. The internship integrated us into local society in ways just taking classes couldn't.

Bathrooms smelled of mold and toilets were unreliable

Ireland is not known for its cuisine, but its coffee and sweets are to die for!

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Budgeted about 1,000 USD pocket money and it was sufficient for weekly expenses, two weekend trips, and a couple day trips.
