London Semester Abroad - Best Semester at College! Past Review
By Michael D (Finance and Financial Management Services., Providence College) for
Boston University: London - London Internship Program
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Speaking about my study abroad experience puts a smile on my face as it brings back so many good memories and fun times. I went to London knowing nobody and was forced to step outside my comfort zone by making new friends and trying different things. My internship in London played a significant role in my future plans as it helped build my resume and enabled me to be offered a summer internship in New York City for a major bank. It was a stepping stone to an opportunity that I most likely would not have been presented had I not had that professional experience. I would recommend the experience of studying abroad and this program especially to those students who want to travel, make new friends, and have the best semester at college.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I advise being smart with your money because you do not want to miss out on traveling or social programs that are truly once in a lifetime. I traveled most weekends and after the program was over I traveled for an additional week. I did incur some credit card debt but it was well worth seeing these beautiful countries and cities with my friends. |
