I feel like I just have a better understanding about life. I was always independent, but I feel like I can take on anything now. I can't describe it, but something is different now. At first I thought my friends and family had changed, but I think it is me. I would not trade the experience for the anything.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The course load was much lighter than at PC. Grades were based mainly on papers and written assignments, and there was little other homework in the classes I took, besides reading the paper and staying up on current affairs. There were also a lot of field trips. |

They were generally very friendly, and would help with any problems. They gave us all the information we needed, and were all located in one office. |

* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Housing was great, right in South Kennsington, close to the tube and classes. The area was safe, and everything you needed was in walking distance. We lived with only Americans on the program, which was a little of a down side, because it made it difficult to meet other English students. <br /><br /> It is a great location, convenient and safe. It is a little on the posh/expensive side though. There are a lot of Americans and tourists who live in the area. But it is difficult to complain about South Ken. Especially with all the museums and Hyde Park so close. |

Food in London is great. Not traditional English food, but everything else. All the restaurants and street markets are great. |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The program was more about a cultural experience than an academic one. The only thing is you have to actively make an effort to not only associate with Americans. If you are friendly, open, and do things you will meet people from all over the world. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |

London is a very safe city, especially South Kennsington. There is minimal violent crime, even the police are unarmed. Just watch you belongings there is pickpocketing, especially in tourist areas. |

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | London is a very expensive city. Expect to spend more money then you do at home. You can find cheap and free things to do, but be prepared to spend a lot. It is all worth it though, I don't regret a dime I spent. |
