There are many free things to do in the city of Sydney. The program helps to illuminate these opportunities for everyone on the program. The majority of my money was spent on food and alcohol.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Make meals for dinner, lunch, and breakfast. Use your money to go to restaurants every once in a while.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish there was more information on what it means to be a student of color in a predominately white area

Comments: It provided the opportunity to really analyze films that we watched and understand how it affects society and documents history. Field trips were relevant. The professor was very knowledgable. I always participate in class. We were assessed with papers.

Comments: It was full of information on the ways in which mass media affects the lives of Australians as well as providing an opportunity to compare it to the mass media culture in America. Daryl knew so much information and is in relation with so many influential people in media within Australia. I participated a lot in his class, he is great to talk to. We had exams and papers
