Personal Information
How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? | 6 months+ |
Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Very rigorous and challenging, while still really enjoyable. The library resources were underwhelming and I found it much more difficult to do research than at my home institution |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The program directors did seem to know what was going on, but I was frustrated that they didn't share information with us in a timely manner. We didn't receive our schedules until arrival, and found out information about rips and activities sometimes too late to take advantage of them. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
The food was fine for English standards. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
If I hadn't been attending a local church, I wouldn't have gotten to know any Cambridge locals. I enjoyed that part of my experience, but that wasn't what the program was designed for. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I had no issues with healthcare. |
* Safety: |
I felt very safe. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
* Was housing included in your program cost? | Yes |
* Was food included in your program cost? | Yes |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 150 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Living in England is expensive! Don't eat out because you'll end up with money left on your CUS card. |
Language
* Did your program have a foreign language component? | No |
