Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I thought this was an excellent learning adventure! I felt like a grand tourist from the from the 1800's.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I loved Professor Swensen and Jensen. They both were fabulous and I couldn't imagine the study abroad with any other professors.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The living arrangements were pretty good.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We didn't stay in a place for too long so it was never an issue but I felt fairly integrated overall.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

N/A

* Safety:

I felt very safe the whole trip.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It was hard to save money on food since we had to eat. But you could find places that weren't sit down and it got easier as the time went on.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $120
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Don't go to a sit down meal for every meal. Find cheap places to eat (and it isn't hard to do.) Bring snacks from home too. And only buy things that aren't in the US. It made it easier to save money on souvenirs.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Traveling to 6 different countries
  • Seeing every great art piece we could
  • Making great friends!
* What could be improved?
  • I wish we didn't take busses from one place to another but trains.
  • I can't think of anything else.
  • It was a really great trip!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Where to eat and how to find cheaper places to eat. To bring a side purse along with my other big purse. Bring a lightweight rain jacket. Pay more attention to who was in the class and try to become friends so when we first got to Europe I would have already known everyone a little better.
