* Housing:

I lived very far from class. The commute was a pain, but the neighborhood was very nice. |
* Food: |
Paprika, the restaurant near Varosliget, was very good. Szent Jupat's Etterem (near Moszkva Ter) was my favorite. Husbolt (several throughout city) was a great place for lunch on a short break. |

* Safety: |
Budapest is one of the safest cities in Europe. I never felt threatened. |

Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Budapest is cheap, but allow yourself extra money for travel. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I thought that the housing was included in tuition... Nope. |

* Did your program have a foreign language component? | Yes |
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |

Most people spoke English, and all professors had a solid grasp of English. I spoke Hungarian with many people outside of the program, and all of the locals were excited to meet someone practicing their language. |
