What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I ultimately learned French, which was the goal. As well, I made a lot of international friends and had a chance to see cultures that weren't mine.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The work was difficult because everything was in French, but once I could understand what was being said, it was the same as a basic English class.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was really excited to stay with a host family. They were really accommodating and helped me improve my French.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

There were many times where random people approached me and began conversations as if I was a native.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I was real sick at one point, but my host mom helped me through it. I didn't do much with the health care system except go to a doctor's office once, but it was on my host mom's account so I didn't have to interact myself.

* Safety:

Nothing bad really happened. However, people do randomly approach strangers.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes
