How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? | 0-2 weeks |
Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
It was such a great experience! Hands on learning is beneficial to all ages, and free time allowed us to sort of live like the locals, as well as viewing sites that were not included in our class. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone! |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The administration was always making it easy to be an adult in free time, allowing us permission to go anywhere in the city. Couldn't ask for better administration. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
While in London I had a few problems with the electric in my room, the hotel staff was always a great help in fixing these problems. CCSA could have performed a survey of some kind to room us better, but over all I was pleased. |
* Food: |
I was super pleased with the food! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I felt free time allowed us to live like the locals, doing nightly things that the locals did, exposing us to the culture. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I did not have any healthcare issues. |
* Safety: |
I felt completely safe in both countries. London I felt like there were so many people around, if anything happened someone would see. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
It wasn't as easy in London because of the exchange rate, but I managed. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $300-approximatly |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Scope out the sandwich shops the first day if you want to save money on food. Don't buy souvenirs unless you have to, and don't buy anything you don't think you can live without. |
