What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This experience literally changed my life. I made amazing friends an got to explore a wonderful country while learning a beautiful language. This experience has been a blessing for me in every way possible.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

This program was absolutely fantastic. The work load was moderate and left plenty of time for exploring the city.

The coordinator in Aix was absolutely amazing. Extremely helpful, friendly, welcoming, and always available.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

Food in Aix is pretty expensive but we were able to find so cheap options. Pizza Capri is always a good spot!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Excursions every weekend, cultural activities like wine tastings and dinners, lots of activities almost every day!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Coming from north Philadelphia, i felt VERY safe in Aix, both in my apartment and out in the town. We never had any problems while i was there.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language acquisition improvement?

Everyone in my program spoke english, and it was difficult interracting with the locals but i still feel that my French improved a lot.

  • Lots of excursions
  • Lots of opportunites to explore the region
  • Amazing coordinator
* What could be improved?
  • The assistant coordinator was terrible, but she was just there temporarily. Other than her, this program is perfect!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you're looking for a program that is not too overwhelming academics-wise, this is the perfect program. THe town is beautiful, there are excursions every weekend. It is truly an amazing place.
