It was such a great experience, I was stretched and I grew so much as a person! Great Culture! Past Review

CEA CAPA Education Abroad: Barcelona, Spain
Yes it was! I am not way more culturally aware of different people and in different situations. I no longer think that the best way to do things is the way that we do it here in the States. I grew so much and I will use everything that I learned while abroad in my life. However, I also think that you need to be mature to go, but even if your not this experience will grow and stretch you and mature you even more! Such a great wholesome experience!

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload and the grading system were fine, however the teaching methods were not great because CEA required the professors to teach using power-point and some of my professors were not used to that therefore it was worse than if they were to just use the method they were used to teaching. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
They were great about answer any question that any student had and were prepared to answer all of them! They were so helpful and just great people in general! |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
I would suggest to go to as many restaurants as you can that are local and that serve authentic food it will really increase your positive experience! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The program had many day trips and weekend trips I would suggest to do all of them they really give you great culture experiences! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I would say that if you have the money to do it then why wait?! I would say that this particular program is good if you aren't fluent in another language and yet want to experience a totally different culture than what you are used to! |
