Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The College used here was Griffith College and most of the courses were masters level and very helpful for my degree but did require work and planning |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The Dublin team was amazing and CAPA was able to handle all issues with a quick chat or email the same day. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Very clean on campus housing at Griffith, though very European and on the smaller size. |
* Food: |
AMAZING local eateries and places to hang close to campus and very easy to get to town to bigger restaurants. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
It was very easy to integrate and be involved. Very kind people. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
insurance was covered by the CAPA program and the staff was helpful in finding a local physician. |
* Safety: |
CAPA's emergency report system was perfect for the program and i never felt in danger. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
There was great help and ability to get involved easily. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
I spent between 100 and 150 euros a week on food and personal expenses. Dublin is a more expensive city and exchange rates change. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 100-150 euros |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | i saved $5000 for travel, and all other expenses and only used $4000. many students spent more than this though. |
