Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I understand it's "study abroad" but one course.... philosophy..... had me inside studying, reading and doing papers then exploring. I feel like I should have taken the other class offered.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The apartment was nice and modern but it was not in a safe neighborhood. It really sucked that some of our friends lived a half hour away by walking.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I did not like the Italian medicine because I had a viral infection in my throat.

* Safety:

I felt safe at the campus site. I did not feel safe where we lived. I did not feel safe walking back to our apartment after a night out.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Go to italy with about 200 euros to start. And use your credit card wherever you can.
